Whether you’ve fallen in love with pole and aerial and want to take the next step or you’re already got some coaching under your belt, we have plenty of courses to help you develop and grow. Each of the Spin City courses has enrolment criterial to help you choose the right course for your skills and experience.
You must be 18 or older to take any Spin City course online or in person. You should also be confident with at least 80% of the moves on the course syllabus. Find out more what moves are in each course syllabus on the course index.
Beginner Level Instructor Training
You don’t need any previous coaching qualifications to take our beginners courses although we do recommend that you have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in the discipline as a student.
This level of instructor training is split into two modules; a coaching module, which covers essential theory and teaching skills for instructors in any discipline, and a discipline-specific module (pole, hoop, silks or sling) that takes you through the Spin City Beginners syllabus and how to teach it. What’s even better is that if you take another beginners level course with us, you won’t have to repeat the coaching module!
Intermediate Level Instructor Training
To take the Intermediate Level Instructor Training you need to have completed the Spin City Beginners Instructor Training Course or an equivalent certification with another training provider. We also recommend you have at least 2 years’ experience in your discipline as a student.
The intermediate level builds on both coaching and practical skills in your discipline with a greater emphasis on technical skills to prepare you for advanced level.
Advanced Level Instructor Training
To take the Advanced Level Instructor Training you need to have completed the Spin City Intermediate Instructor Training Course or an equivalent certification with another training provider. We also recommend you have at least 3 years’ experience in your discipline as a student.
The advanced level is the highest level of instructor training offered by Spin City. This explores further coaching techniques to help keep your students motivated and how to help them become more independent learners.
Continued Professional Development Courses
The Spin City CPD courses are open to all certified instructors and can be taken at any time during your instructor journey. These short online courses have been developed to allow you to broaden your knowledge and skills.
