This 2 day in-person course will provide you with the necessary skills to start teaching confident and effective aerial silks classes for adults.
The course allows personal interaction with our qualified tutor and an in-person practical assessment. On successful completion of the training course you will leave with a Spin City Certification.
Pre course reading and theory assessment: work through the learning material and answer the theory questions related to each unit.
Training weekend practical assessment: this is a modularised assessment where you will be required to give a class introduction, teach a warmup, teach 3 individual moves from the course, demonstrate a combination of 5 moves from the course, and teach a cool down.
You don’t need any qualifications to attend the course, we do recommend that you have a minimum of 1 year's aerial silks experience as a student.
Basic first aid and anatomy knowledge is also useful but not essential.
The course price includes access to our online platform for 1 year, lifetime access to our course video library, a digital course manual, access to a pre and post course mentor by email/phone and a full weekend's tuition with one of our qualified tutor assessors.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.
In the event of a reassessment there is no charge.
Once enrolled on the course you will be provided with a link where you can purchase a professionally printed manual.
There is some pre-course reading which is done on our online platform, you’ll also need to watch the course videos and complete the online theory assessment.
If you can’t complete the online theory before the weekend you can still attend however, you won’t be able to claim your certificate until the theory has been completed.
The course covers everything you’ll need to start teaching a class including; basic health and safety, student screening, how to teach a safe warm up and cool down, how to teach foundation level aerial silks moves, how to safely spot moves, class planning and preparing combinations.
