The Spin City Trapeze Intermediate Instructor Course focuses on developing the basic skills and techniques taught at the beginners’ level while introducing the next block of moves in the Spin City syllabus. This includes an introduction to skills in the ropes and dynamic transitions, along with additional ways to mount the apparatus and further skills on and under the bar. We will expand on teaching and coaching techniques, and examine how health and safety needs develop at a higher level of instruction.

Continuing Education Units: 1.5 AFAA CEUs, 1.9 NASM CEUs.

Course description: The Spin City Trapeze Intermediate Instructor Course focuses on developing the basic skills and techniques taught at the beginners’ level while introducing the next block of moves in the Spin City syllabus. This includes an introduction to skills in the ropes and dynamic transitions, along with additional ways to mount the apparatus and further skills on and under the bar. We will expand on teaching and coaching techniques, and examine how health and safety needs develop at a higher level of instruction.

Course assessment: This course has two main parts to the assessment; a theory assessment completed in the online learning platform and a practical assessment. The practical assessment will require you to film yourself teaching a student and be able to perform the core course moves with safe and correct technique.
