You can expect to leave this course with a wealth of new moves, skills and techniques to reinvigorate your classes allowing you to take your students to the next level.
The course assessment includes an assessment of your technical ability demonstrating a minimum of 80% of the course moves with clean execution and a final teaching assessment in which you will be required to teach a class appropriate for Intermediate level students using moves provided in the course. This course will aim to provide you with the knowledge to design and deliver safe and effective flexibility programmes and sessions for your pole and aerial students. You can expect to cover benefits and risks, factors controlling flexibility, methods of training, the science behind flexibility, finishing with exactly what you need to be flexible for pole and aerial fitness including everything from specific warm ups, to targeted moves to stretch sequences and class plans.
The course assessment includes multiple choice quizzes at the end of each unit along with a short video (approximately 10 minutes) to demonstrate your practical and teaching technique to your online mentor, for which you will receive feedback. You will be required to teach a minimum of one student for the practical assessment.
The Spin City Pole Fabric Instructor Course will teach you how to effectively use the pole fabric clamp system to support and adapt existing moves and will expand your repertoire to include a range of fabric specific techniques.
The course assessment includes multiple choice quizzes at the end of each unit along with a short video to demonstrate your practical technique to your online mentor, for which you will receive feedback. There is no teaching assessment for this course.
The Spin City Anatomy and Physiology course aims to give you a good foundation of basic anatomy and physiology knowledge showing you how you can apply this to pole and aerial training.
This is a theory course with a final assessment via an on-screen multiple choice test at the end of the course. During the course you’ll find practise questions at the end of each unit to help you prepare; your online mentor will be available via email if you have additional questions before taking your final assessment.
